Welcome to 7 Rivers Golf and Country Club!
Say Hello to Private Club Membership at 7 Rivers Golf & Country Club. It’s about choices. It’s about value.
The vision began to take shape in March of 1965. Residents and community leaders had a vision to build a golf course in the popular fishing village Crystal River. Names like Pompeo, Emerson, Tolle, Stoney, Merriken, Cappolla, Lewis, McRae, Miller, Strickland- This group of visionaries brought 7 Rivers Golf & Country Club to life with tenacity, generosity and teamwork. The Club opened in July of 1968. And the rest is history. Today the members of the Club carry forward with passion, these same traditions of the founding members.
Designed by architect William Amick, the layout of the course is fair yet challenging. Five sets of tees (including the sunshine tees for young and old alike) gives everyone a fair chance to play the course at the right yardage. Beautiful wildlife awaits on almost every hole. Turtles, egrets, eagles, alligators and more call 7 Rivers home. Members at 7 Rivers like to refer to the wildlife as “golf with benefits.”
7 Rivers hosts the annual Presidential Men’s Invitational and the Lollypop Women’s Invitational- two of the biggest tournaments of the year drawing golfers from all over the state of Florida. Two events with history and drama to the final hole- producing great champions.
The 7 Rivers Men’s and Women’s Golf Associations are active and host a full schedule of weekly events. The annual Club Championship, Member-Member and Member Guest are also highly anticipated events that a part of an active club.
While golf remains the focus of the Club, the social aspect is important. The restaurant and full bar is the hub for informal gatherings after cards or golf. Social events are planned throughout the year and include dinner and dancing, trivia nights, Casino Night, Name That Tune, Wii games, pot luck and more. The swimming pool is a popular spot on warm Florida afternoons. Cool and comfortable to swim laps or read a book.
